10 Days Best of Uganda Rwanda Tour

10 Days Sfari in Uganda and Rwanda starting from Uganda and ending in Kigali. This tour can be tailored to begin from either countries to suite the requirements of our customers.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Our safari guide will meet you and brief you about the safari. Then drive to Fort Portal passing via Mityana-Mubende road. Have a stop over in Mubende and visit the Nakayima tree. Have lunch en route and continue to Kibale forest national park arriving in the afternoon. Check in and relax at the lodge or explore the nearby Crater Lake. Dinner and Overnight at Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge Kanyanchu.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest
Wake up and have an early morning breakfast and then go for chimpanzee tracking. You will go to Kanyanchu tourist centre and get briefed then join the destination guide who will take you through the forest and show you some tree species, as well as tell you the different features of the forest. After having lunch, take an afternoon nature walk through the Bigodi swamp to see swamp birds, primates as well as some of the community Based projects financed by tourism. Dinner and Overnight at Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge Kanyanchu.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
Depart for Queen Elizabeth national park located in the foothills of the Mountains of the moon, one of the great mountain ranges of the world. As you continue to the park you may see different animals and birds given that the park has got about 100 mammal species and a remarkable 606 bird species. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Ihamba Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Kyambura Chimp trek
You will take an early excursion to Kyambura gorge to track the fast moving and elusive chimpanzees. Though seeing these mobile chimpanzees is un predictable, the walk is wonderful. Alternatively visit the Maramagambo Forest where you will see the bat cave, the blue lake and several primates. In the afternoon take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is blessed with many hippos, solitary buffaloes, and a vast array of birds. You will then have an evening game drive in the park. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya safari Lodge /Ihamba Safari Lodge.

Day 5: The Ishasha Sector transfer to Bwindi
Have an early start for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, passing through the Ishasha sector, well known for the tree climbing lions, or through an alternative route passing through cultivated expanses. After lunch, go for a nature walk or a community visit. Dinner and Overnight at Buhoma.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Gorilla Park
Following an early breakfast, you will proceed to the forest for gorilla tracking. Encountering the largest and heaviest primates is an adventurous and memorable activity which can’t be easily forgotten. Tracking from Bwindi involves walking up steep densely forested hills; therefore some fitness is required. After having packed lunch take a leisurely nature or community walk if time permits. Dinner and Overnight at Buhoma.

Day 7: Extended Tour to Rwanda
Following break fast, you will drive to Kisoro and cross the Rwandan Border to Ruhengeri and get to Rwanda in the evening. Dinner and over night at Kinigi guest House.
Day 6: Gorilla tracking in Pac Nationale de Volcanoes.
You will wake up early and have a briefing by the guide at Ruhengeri Park headquarters in Pac de volcanoes. The tracking begins at 9:00am.The time spent trekking depends on the movement of these wonderful giants. Return and have lunch then relax or walk around the park and see the beautiful surrounding and environment. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi guest House.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking – Tour the Twin Lakes
Wake up to an early breakfast at your hotel then proceed with your guide to the Volcanoes park headquarters as early as 7:30am. After a short guide as regards your expected gorilla tracking conduct the dos and fonts, you will enter the rain forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Once you meet the gentle giants, you are allowed to spend a maximum of one hour with the gorillas then return to your lodge. In the afternoon if your up for it head out for a tour the twin lake of Burera & Ruhondo. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 9: Transfer Lake Kivu for Boat Ride – Tour Nyamurundi Island
Have breakfast at the lodge and later transfer to Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is the largest fresh water lake offering tourists a relaxing environment while in Rwanda. You will have a boat ride along lake Kivu and a visit the the Nyamirundi island. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena hotel (Luxury)/ Palm gardens resort (Deluxe)/ Paradise marahide (Budget)

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali for city Tour – Departure
Have breakfast at the lodge and later drive back to Kigali for a grand city tour. Expect to tour historical places like the genocide memorial site, the national museum. Later have lunch and drop off at either your hotel or the airport.
